Ghanaian actor and comedian Lil Win has delivered a compelling message for those who equate fluency in English with intelligence and success.

In a recent interview on Accra-based Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz show, Lil Win argued that talent, not language proficiency, is the true catalyst for achievement. He urged people to reconsider their views on success and the means to attain it.

The actor and producer, who is known for challenging conventional wisdom, stressed that the ability to speak English is not the primary indicator of one’s potential. He pointed to his own rise to stardom despite his struggles with English as evidence that talent and hard work are what truly matter.

“English can never buy land, but talent can buy everything,” Lil Win asserted.

Lil Win, famous for his humorous use of English, has starred in films like “Azonto Ghost” and “John and John.” He is currently promoting his latest production, “A Country Called Ghana,” which features Nigerian actors Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu (popularly known as ‘Awilo Sharp Sharp’), alongside Ghanaian actor Paa George.
