COPEC Predicts Petroleum and LPG Prices to Reduce

The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) predicts a forthcoming reduction in Diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices, citing a global decrease in finished product costs. Despite a slight depreciation of the cedi over the past fortnight, this adjustment is anticipated. Petrol prices are expected to remain steady, with COPEC forecasting average rates of GH¢11.71 per liter for petrol, GH¢12.13 per liter for diesel, and GH¢12.30 per kilogram for LPG.

As the new year unfolds, there has been a decline in petroleum product prices on the domestic market. The average petrol price recorded GH¢11.80, diesel at GH¢12.25, and LPG selling at GH¢13 per kilogram. This shift reflects a favorable trend in the pricing of essential fuels, providing potential relief for consumers in the coming months.
