Manchester United’s Harry Maguire has extended forgiveness to Ghanaian legislator Isaac Adongo following the latter’s apology regarding a previous comparison between the footballer and Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Last December, Isaac Adongo drew a controversial parallel between the Vice President and Maguire, amidst the footballer facing severe criticism from fans for underwhelming performances, including scoring own goals.

However, during discussions on the 2024 Budget in Parliament, Adongo delivered a sarcastic apology to the English defender, acknowledging Maguire’s improved form while criticizing Bawumia’s management of Ghana’s economy, which led to seeking a $3 billion bailout from the IMF.

In an unexpected turn, the much-discussed footballer took to the popular social media platform Twitter to announce his acceptance of Adongo’s apology. Maguire’s post indicated that he had acknowledged the lawmaker’s expression of regret and even extended an invitation to Adongo to visit Old Trafford.
