His remarkable ascent in the music industry over the past two years saw him triumph over formidable talents worldwide, including AKA (South Africa), Central Cee (UK), Gazo (France), JHus (UK), K.o (South Africa), Major RD (Brazil), Ninho (France), Sampa The Great (Zambia), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).

The awards ceremony was recorded at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA, on Tuesday, October 3, and is scheduled to be televised on October 10, 2023. Notably, this marked Black Sherif’s second nomination in the same category, having been nominated in 2022 but narrowly missing out to Benjamin EPPS.

Black Sherif’s win makes him the second Ghanaian artist to clinch victory in the Best International Flow category, following in the footsteps of Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, who made history by winning in this newly created category back in 2019.
