Shatta-Medikal Arrest Saga: IGP Tops Twitter Trends; This Is What Ghanaians Think Of Him

Newly sworn in Ghana’s Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare is currently the man of the moment following the arrest of two biggest Ghanaian celebrities.

The newly installed IGP is trending number one on Twitter with #TheIGP after the likes of Funny Face, Shatta Wale and Medikal were all arrested over some crimes they have committed.

The Ghana’s 23rd IGP recent actions taken by the police administration to tackle security challenges in the country have been largely commended and have received the support of many Ghanaians.

And with the arrest of Shatta Wale, four others and Medikal, Ghanaians have taken to Twitter to share their opinions on the work of Dr George Akuffo Dampare.

GhArticles.com earlier reported that, Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, aka Medikal has been arrested for brandishing a gun on social media.

This comes few hours after dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, and four other people were remanded into police custody following an alleged gun attack that turned out to be hoax.

They were remanded by the Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, October 21, 2021, during their first appearance in court.

Shatta Wale was picked up by the police for spreading false news about an assassination attempt at his residence in Accra on October 19, 2021.
