Gospel singer Phillipa Baafi has disclosed how she feels concerning the continuous divorce amongst gospel artistes .
The gospel musician believes that the unending issues of divorce anongst gospel artistes in the industry could be as a result of social media.
She added that she feels downhearted anytime she gets to know of the divorce amongst her colleague gospel musicians which she added her voice perhaps as a result of Joyce Blessing’s divorce.
Sharing her thoughts in an interview on Radio Central with Amansan Krakye, she said:
“I’m not happy when I hear that my colleagues are being divorced and my heart bleeds. But I can’t be quick to judge because every marriage is unique. Everyone and what they go through so I don’t know what is happening in someone’s marriage.”
She emphatically expressed her sadness over the continuous divorces amongst her colleagues.
“But I feel that it happened that way because even if you are not a gospel artiste, divorce isn’t something that is pleasing to God. So when there is a divorce it is not something to be taken lightly.”
“Sometimes as celebrities, we put everything about our lives in the public domain. So this is a little advise that I will give to my colleagues that they should be careful because it can happen to anybody.” She said.
She went on to advise people not to mock at people who are going though the emotionally draining experience of divorce.
