Ghanaian gospel musician , Patience Nyarko has recently made claims that the media gives too much attention to Joe Mettle.
Interacting with several media houses through interviews, she made these claims in addition to others. She mentioned that Joe Mettle doesn’t write his own songs and most of his songs are Pentecostal and Methodist songs.
However her claims on the use of Pentecost songs by Joe Mettle has been replied by Pentecost University.
The ‘Obi Nyane Me’ hitmaker has been shaded by Pentecost University through a post on their Facebook page.
“Whatever you choose to do, do it well. If you are a dentist, do your work well if you sing #Pentecostal songs, ensure it moves the crowd and draw millions to #Christ. Whatever it is, be known for excellence. #JoeMettle #ProudAlumni #Empowered”.
The post is speculated to be directed at Patience who made claims that Joe Mettle sings Pentecostal songs.
According to the post, if Joe Mettle is able to win souls with Pentecost songs, then there’s nothing wrong with him using Pentecost songs for his ministrations.
There have been speculations that Akesse Brempong is behind the post made by the University based on his relationship with Joe Mettle as well as his level in the University’s administration. The ‘Bo No Ni’ hitmaker is also an alumni of the University and a Pentecost for that matter.
This has received hilarious reactions from social media users which is currently on the trend.
