Easter: Ghana Police Imposes New Covid-19 Restrictions Ahead of Easter Conventions in Ghana

The Ghana Police Service has introduced and imposed new restrictions for all churches in Ghana ahead of Easter services.

Although the covid-19 cases in Ghana has reached a stable level – thanks to the nationwide vaccination program, the Ghana Police Service believe that the battle against the virus is not over yet.

In a press statement, the Ghana Police remained all the churches in Ghana to not go beyond the two hours apportioned time for all their services.

According to the Director of Public Affairs, Sheilla Kessie Abayie-Buckman, all persons who visit the church or mosque must have their names and contact details registered by the church or mosque they visit.

Also, the Ghana Police Service has appealed against the use of air conditioners in places of worship – rather, they must have fresh air ventilation.

Meanwhile, President Nana Akufo-Addo has given the assurance that the government is working hard to purchase some 42 million additional COVID-19 doses by the close of 2021.
