A heartbreaking incident has occurred in Nkawie Toase in the Ashanti Region, where a young woman, identified as Nafisatu Latif, tragically took her own life. The report, gathered by the EDHUB, indicates that Nafisatu had been experiencing doubts about her relationship with her boyfriend, suspecting that he might be unfaithful to her. In an attempt to test his loyalty, she used one of her friends as bait, but her friend did not provide any feedback and ignored her calls, leading to a month-long argument between Nafisatu and her boyfriend.
This situation took a devastating turn last Saturday when Nafisatu, feeling overwhelmed, consumed poison in an attempt to end her life. She was rushed to Nkawie Government Hospital that evening and later transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where she sadly passed away early Monday morning.
Nafisatu Latif was laid to rest by the Muslim community in Nkawie.
