Road safety advocate Samuel Whyte has strongly criticized the Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly for allowing the placement of a billboard featuring the NPP parliamentary candidate, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyieh, directly in front of a traffic light.
The advocate argued that the billboard obstructs visibility for motorists approaching from certain directions, posing a serious safety hazard. He called on the police to remove the banner immediately, stating that failure to do so would make it unfair to arrest drivers who run the red light due to the obstruction.
Expressing frustration, he admitted not knowing the specific regulations governing the placement of banners and posters but emphasized that it is the responsibility of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) to oversee such matters before granting permission for advertisements.
