With the Right Investment, I Could Fill the O2 Arena – Samini Dagarti Declares

Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall icon, Samini, firmly believes that he has the potential to single-handedly pack London’s renowned O2 Arena, given the right support. He expressed confidence in his universal appeal and captivating performances, which he believes can attract fans from all corners of the globe. Samini shared his conviction during an interview on the Day Show with Berla Mundi, even playfully referring to himself as “Batman” to emphasize his international recognition, including his Mobo Award win.

He asserted that with the appropriate investment and promotion, he could fill the arena to capacity. However, Samini was clear that he wouldn’t undertake such a project alone, as he lacked faith in Ghanaian financiers fully supporting it. He noted past instances where Ghanaian investors had not followed through on their commitments, making him skeptical about relying on them.

Samini emphasized that he wouldn’t accept funds solely because a Ghanaian investor wanted to see the venue full. He believed that Ghanaian investors were unlikely to provide substantial support due to cultural differences, highlighting that they might be willing to socialize but wouldn’t readily invest in a structured business plan for his career.
