Western North: Three Dead, Two Injured in Okada-Truck Collision on Achimfo Road

A tragic accident on Wednesday, August 6, has claimed the lives of three individuals and left two others injured on the Enchi to Achimfo road, near the Asaanu Valley junction in the Western North Region.

The crash involved a motorcycle, commonly referred to as an “okada,” and a truck. The impact of the collision was severe, drawing residents from nearby communities who rushed to the scene in an attempt to rescue the victims.

Emergency services responded swiftly, but three were pronounced dead at the scene. The two injured individuals were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, but local authorities have begun investigations.
