New Chief Executive Officer of Ashantigold, Emmanuel Frimpong says his main target is to make the club one of the biggest brands in African football.
Emmanuel Frimpong, who is son of club President Dr. Kwaku Frimpong, was named C.E.O of the club on Thursday following the departure of GFA Exco. member Fredrick Acheampong.
Speaking to Sikka Sports, he said, “We want to make Ashantigold one of the biggest brand in African Football.”
Despite being a novice in football management, the young administrator is confident of succeeding in his new role with the support of club president.
“With the support of my management and Dr. Kwaku Frimpong, we can make it,” says Emmanuel Frimpong. “Being C.E.O of Ashantigold is not a matter of age,” he added.
“Ashantigold is always ready to compete in Africa.”
The Miners have named a new leadership on Thursday with former B.A United C.E.O Roy Arthur as Sporting Director of the club.
Seth Boakye Agyemang is the new Administrative manager with Gibrine Musah as the Operations Manager.
Daniel Bioh maintains his position as media officer of the club.
Ashantigold finished the first round of the Ghana Premier League in fifth place, just three points adrift of leaders Aduana Stars.
