President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has revealed that his administration has successfully constructed 12,830 kilometres of roads nationwide, claiming this as an unprecedented achievement in Ghana’s history.

Speaking at the inauguration of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) at the Black Star Square in Accra on Wednesday, the President highlighted the significance of this milestone. DRIP, funded by the District Assembly Common Fund and donor partners, is designed to tackle infrastructure challenges within the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs).

The program aims to facilitate the completion of numerous road projects within these regions, significantly benefiting farmers in rural communities who lack agricultural equipment, thereby enhancing their farming activities.
