‘We Are Hungry’, Stonebwoy Laments To Kojo Oppong Nkrumah About The Challenges Of Ghanaian Musicians.

Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah met up with dancehall artiste Stonebwoy in an Instagram live video interacting with other people as well concerning the Coronavirus pandemic.

The conversation moved to another angle when Stonebwoy told the information minister the problems being faced in the entertainment industry.

Stonebwoy suggested that government should implement a digital system that will check the royalty of musicians to help them to make money to boost the economy.

Continuing to air his views, Stonebwoy added : “the trouble is that you don’t expect to make enough money in Nigeria or in Guinea or United Kingdom than I will make here as a resident act. In as much as we have some things going on, we need to connect to the Ghana market itself. We have to connect the global system to what we have here”.

“Most of the time when we talk to music business men abroad they mention lots of things we can’t find here. We have to make the money to put back in our craft. Musicians will be able to help the government if the government also support it. We will pay taxes among other things”.
