We Are Going To Look For The Trophy” – CAF Reacts To Missing Original Afcon Trophy In Egypt

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is shocked after hearing that the original Africa Cup of Nations trophy in Egypt has gone missing according to reports we received yesterday.

“CAF has learnt with shock reports of missing AFCON trophies from the Egyptian Football Association secretariat. Our doors are open and the EFA can count on our support in the search for the priceless memorabilia,” CAF wrote on Twitter.

The news broke out yesterday that the Egyptian FA has confirmed that the Africa Cup Of Nations trophy they received after winning the 2005/2006 tournament has been picked out by unknown thieves. According to report,the trophy disappeared at the headquarters of the Egyptians Football Association in Cairo.
