Violence Erupts in Adentan Constituency Amid Alleged Vote Buying During NPP Primaries

Reports of a disturbing incident have emerged from the Adentan Constituency as chaos erupted due to alleged vote buying at a voting station. The incident occurred amidst the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) ongoing parliamentary primaries, particularly focused on orphan constituencies lacking NPP representation in parliament for the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Tensions escalated quickly, leading to a physical altercation in the Adentan Constituency, reportedly sparked by accusations of vote buying during the primary elections. The situation turned volatile as individuals engaged in the chaotic confrontation, creating a disruptive and alarming scene at the voting station.

The NPP’s initiative to organize parliamentary primaries in these orphan constituencies aimed to nominate candidates for the forthcoming general elections.
