Ghanaian rapper Maradona Yeboah Adjei, known by his stage name Guru in a tweet has revealed his disregard for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards-VGMA.
For years since the start of the esteemed awarding stratagem, VGMA, Guru has missed nominations.
The reason behind his exclusion is circled around so many controversies between him and the organizers of the awards years back.
Time without number in every year, Guru has never regarded the VGMA. He always questions the competency, credibility and criteria used in awarding an artiste.
In his latest attack this year on VGMA 21, Guru in a tweet has averred that the credibility of the VGMA will be restored the day he wins the Artiste of the Year award.

In a separate tweet, he couldn’t fathom why an artiste like Kuami Eugene with 2 songs( according to Guru) is winning artist of the year but someone with 10 hit songs in a year did not win anything.
In this case he was comparing Sarkodie who was also in the Artiste of the Year category to Kuami Eugene.
Guru claims that Kuami Eugene’s songs cannot be the favourite but due to the corrupt activities of the organizers they gave it to him.
