TUSAAG to Begin Nationwide Strike on Friday Over Unmet Demands

The Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG) has announced plans to embark on a nationwide strike, starting Friday, September 27, 2024.

The decision follows the government’s failure to fulfill obligations under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and implement revised allowances for senior members of public universities.

TUSAAG expressed frustration over the government’s unfulfilled promises and stated they would suspend all services at technical universities across the country until their demands are met.

Despite multiple discussions, the group insists that the government’s inaction, particularly regarding the revised allowances issued by the Ministry of Finance in May 2024, is a violation of their rights.
