A community in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District has been left reeling with shock and fear after the lifeless body of a young girl was discovered under suspicious and disturbing circumstances.
The deceased, identified as 18-year-old Nana Zinabu, was found dead in her bedroom at dawn on Friday. According to an eyewitness who lives in the same compound, she stumbled upon the scene around 4:30 AM while preparing food for sale.
“I noticed her door was open, and when I entered, I saw her lying naked. Her mouth appeared to have been sealed with something like super glue, and there were three used condoms and apples scattered around the room,” the witness said.
Alarmed by the discovery, she quickly called for help. Residents of Twifo Praso promptly reported the matter to the local police.
Superintendent Charles Addei Boateng, District Police Commander, confirmed that the police are actively investigating the case. The body has since been deposited at the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The eerie nature of the incident, including the presence of used condoms and signs of force, has heightened community fears, especially as the victim was reportedly close to completing her sewing apprenticeship.
