Suspected Robber Burnt to Death in Ashaiman Katamanso

A suspected armed robber met a tragic end in Ashaiman Katamanso, Greater Accra Region, after unidentified individuals allegedly set him ablaze in the early hours of Thursday, December 12, 2024.

The suspect reportedly broke into a residence between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. while the occupants were absent, stealing a standing fan and a flat-screen television. The stolen items were later found near the charred remains of the suspect.

Residents believe the act may reflect growing anger and frustration over the frequent robberies plaguing the area. However, the identity of those responsible for the mob action remains unknown.

The police have transported the body to the morgue and launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify the perpetrators.
