Suspected Food Poisoning Sends Over 30 Students of Ajumako Afransi Technical Institute to Hospital

More than 30 students from Ajumako Afransi Technical and Vocational Institute have been hospitalized due to suspected food poisoning.

Reports indicate that the students experienced stomach discomfort after consuming a meal and were subsequently taken to the Ajumako Baah Salvation Army Polyclinic.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, following the consumption of waakye and stew during lunchtime.

While some affected students are receiving treatment at Ajumako Baah Salvation Army Polyclinic, others are being cared for at Ajumako District Government Hospital.

In an interview with Adom News, Physician Assistant Daniel Agyeakpor stated that most of the students are in stable condition and are awaiting lab results to confirm the cause of their illness.
