Suspect Wanted in NPP-NDC Mamobi Clash Arrested by Ghana Police

The Ghana Police Service has arrested Fatawu Ibrahim, also known as Fatau Motorway, who was wanted in connection with the violent disturbances that took place on October 13, 2024, between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Mamobi in Accra.

Fatawu Ibrahim, for whom a GH¢20,000 bounty had been placed, was captured on video wielding a firearm during the clashes, which resulted in the shooting and injury of two individuals. The video footage played a crucial role in identifying and tracking down the suspect.

The police, in a statement released after his arrest, confirmed that Ibrahim is now in their custody and will be presented before court in due course. The police continue to urge the public to assist with information that can lead to the arrest of other
