Students at Nkanchina Midwifery and Nursing College in the Kpandai district of the Northern region have taken to the streets in protest against the school’s principal, citing alleged mismanagement and neglect of their basic needs. The students claim that the college administration has failed to provide them with adequate sleeping facilities and functional washrooms, leading to dire living conditions.
The protesting students have accused the principal of displaying disrespectful behavior towards them despite their challenging circumstances. They claim that the principal has been verbally insulting and belittling them, exacerbating an already distressing situation.
The lack of suitable accommodation for students has reportedly forced them to seek alternative arrangements, compromising their safety and well-being. The absence of proper washroom facilities poses a significant health risk, especially for pregnant women, who require special care and hygiene.
