The Sokode Senior High Technical School (SHTS) in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region has been indefinitely closed following a violent clash between students and community members.

Reports indicate that the clash erupted after a student was assaulted by some town folks over a complaint lodged by a colleague.

In retaliation, a group of students launched an attack at Manacura Bar, a recreational center near the school, leading to the destruction of properties.
