Social Media User ‘Sir Obama Pokuase’ And Three Others Arrested Over Illegal Arms, Threat Of Death And False News After Recent Helicopter Crash

The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with other security agencies, has arrested Daniel Adomako, popularly known on social media as Sir Obama Pokuase, as part of an intelligence-led operation targeting illegal arms networks.

Mr. Adomako is under investigation for allegedly sharing images and videos online that depict individuals displaying high-grade, illegally acquired weapons. The ongoing operations, which have spanned several weeks, have already resulted in the seizure of a significant cache of illegal arms and ammunition.

In a related case, three other suspects Prince Ofori, Yayra Abiwu, and Emmanuel Kwakye are in custody over alleged threats of death and the publication of false news linked to the recent helicopter crash.

The Police reiterated their commitment to dismantling criminal networks and preventing the spread of illegal firearms, urging the public to provide credible information to support these efforts.
