The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) has announced an upward review in sachet water prices, effective Monday, April 6, 2026.
According to the association, the increase is due to a global shortage of polymers and rising production costs linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, which has disrupted raw material supply chains.
NASPAWAP stated that the escalating cost of inputs has made it difficult for producers to maintain the current price levels while ensuring continuous supply.
The newly recommended prices are as follows:
Ex-factory price: GH¢8 per bag (30 sachets of 500ml)
Ex-truck price: GH¢10 per bag (30 sachets of 500ml)
Maximum retail price: GH¢15 per bag (30 sachets of 500ml)NASPAWAP has urged wholesalers, retailers, and consumers to adhere strictly to the revised pricing framework to promote fairness in the market.
The association added that the adjustment is necessary to sustain production and guarantee the uninterrupted supply of safe drinking water across the country.
