‘Our Game With Ashanti Gold Was Fixed, So I Decided To Score Two Own Goals’ – Inter Allies Defender Drops Bomshell

The matchday 34 game between Ashgold and Inter Allies has dominated the headlines for the wrong reasons due to the allegations of betting.

Ashgold recorded a 7-0 win over relegated Inter Allies at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Both clubs have, however, denied any allegation of match-fixing but Mr Sarfo believes Musah must be awarded for the decision taken to spoil the bet of the opponent.

“I must commend Hashmin Musah for that bold decision to score two own goals and he saved his club from disgrace,” Mr Sarfo, who is a member of the Ghana Football Association [GFA] Executive Council, told Asempa FM on the Ultimate Sports Show.

“He must be commended for spoiling the bet of the opponent. For me, he must be rewarded for helping our football and if I am the head coach for the club, I will make him the captain for the side and I will play him in every game because I know he can help me and the club.

“We need such players in our game to be able to get rid of betting from our game,” he added.

The GFA has opened an investigation into the matter despite both clubs denying any wrongdoing.

Gladson Awako Will Fail At Hearts of Oak – Prophet

Prophet Seer Kwaku Gyan has advised Gladson Awako to leave Hearts of Oak in order to save his life and football career.

The 30-year-old joined the Ghana Premier League champions on a two-year deal this summer from Great Olympics.

The talented midfielder is yet to make his debut for the club, having missed out in Hearts of Oak’s Caf Champions League win against CI Kamsar over the weekend.

It was reported that Awako left the camp of the team without the consent of the technical team due to spiritual attacks.

Subsequently, Seer Gyan has said the U-20 World Cup winner must terminate his contract with the club to save his career.

According to him, Awako will fail to glitter at the club.

“Gladson Awako is wearing jersey number 14 at Hearts of Oak after he joined the club. He’s not favoured to succeed at Hearts of Oak,” he told Asempa FM on Sports Nite.

“He can do very well and make name for himself at other clubs but not at Hearts of Oak. This is so because things will not work for him.

“He should know this and then decide what best he can do for his career as a footballer and life as a human being,” he added.

Awako excelled last season with seven goals and six assists as Olympics finished in a respectable 6th position.
