Prez. John Mahama Resumes Duties With Official Visit To Japan And Singapore

President John Dramani Mahama has departed Ghana for a two-nation official visit to Japan and Singapore, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and attracting new investments.

In Japan, he will take part in the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD IX), where he is scheduled to address a plenary session on trade and investment. He will also headline the Ghana Presidential Investment Forum, promoting opportunities under the *Resetting Ghana* agenda.

During his stay, President Mahama will meet Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, as well as officials from JICA and JETRO, to discuss cooperation in infrastructure, trade, and technical assistance.

He will then travel to Singapore for a three-day state visit, where meetings with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong are planned. He will also participate in the Africa-Singapore Business Forum and deliver a keynote address at an investment forum to encourage Singaporean businesses to invest in Ghana.

The Presidency says the visits are part of Ghana’s broader strategy to deepen partnerships in technology, finance, infrastructure, human capital development, and boost market access for Ghanaian products. The delegation will return after the Singapore leg of the trip.
