President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has unveiled a statue of himself at the entrance of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi during a one-day “thank you” tour of the Western Region.
Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah explained that the statue was dedicated to honor the president’s efforts in the region, including the ongoing rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Hospital, construction of a 3-tier interchange under the Sinohydro project, and the redevelopment of Takoradi Market Circle.
However, these projects remain unfinished, with some even temporarily halted.
Addressing the residents of Takoradi on November 6, Akufo-Addo highlighted his achievements, claiming to have fulfilled 80% of his campaign promises.
He encouraged voters to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections, emphasizing that this would ensure the continuity of his administration’s projects. The president also lauded the Free SHS policy as his most significant legacy, underscoring its transformative impact on the nation’s education system.
