His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, accompanied by several prominent members of his political party, has expressed condolences and offered support to the grieving family of the late Ga Manye.
The President attended the ongoing funeral procession of the late Queen Mother (Ga Manye) and made a generous donation of GHC100,000 towards the funeral expenses for Naa Dedei Omaedru III.
On behalf of the President, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, the Member of Parliament for Tema East, presented the donation and conveyed President Akufo-Addo’s condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Ga State in light of the Queen’s passing.
The funeral ceremony was also graced by the presence of Dr. Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, as well as the First and Second Ladies of the Republic. Additionally, various officials from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were in attendance, contributing GH¢10,000 to support the funeral activities. They also provided items such as boxes of Malt, Heineken, water, whisky, and assorted goods.
In memory of Ga Manye, Naa Dedei Omaedru III, a book of condolences was opened by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on June 19, 2023, allowing individuals to pay their respects to the late Queen, who passed away in December 2022
