The director of radio at Oman FM, Kwabena Kwakye, who also served as the host for the renowned political talk show “Boiling Point,” has been reported dead after collapsing during a live production on Wednesday morning, February 14th.
Kwakye, a well-known figure in the broadcasting industry, had previously held positions as a parliamentary and presidential correspondent for Net2 TV and Oman FM. Throughout his career, he collaborated with prominent figures such as Pro Kofi Agyekum of the University of Ghana, Prof Kwesi Yankah, Kwabena Agyapong, and KT Hammond, who now serves as the Trade Minister.
Additionally, Kwabena Kwakye’s contributions extended beyond broadcasting, as he was appointed to the board of the Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC) in 2017 by President Akufo-Addo, serving under the chairmanship of Freddie Blay.
