The Agona Swedru Divisional Police Command has impounded a truck suspected of transporting electrical cables linked to the missing containers belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) at Tema Port.
The vehicle, bearing registration number GC 7410-11, was intercepted at Gomoa Awombrew in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region.
Sources close to Citi News indicate that the truck broke down near Awombrew in Agona Swedru, drawing attention to its cargo. Upon further inspection, law enforcement officers arrested the driver along with three passengers.
Police officials have confirmed that the four individuals are currently in custody as investigations continue to trace the source and intended destination of the cables.
