Police Recover Stolen Vehicle from Ursula Owusu’s Office

The Ghana Police Service has retrieved a stolen Nissan pickup truck belonging to Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West. The vehicle was stolen from her office on December 9, 2024, during unrest following the December 7 elections.

Addressing the media on December 12, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs for the Ghana Police Service, revealed that 123 suspects have been arrested so far, including 17 apprehended within the past 24 hours, in connection with post-election disturbances.

The recovery of the stolen pickup was achieved through an intelligence-led operation. ACP Ansah-Akrofi stated, “The stolen Nissan Pickup belonging to Honourable Ursula Owusu-Ekuful is now in the custody of the Dansoman Police. Efforts are ongoing to arrest those responsible for the theft.”

The police continue to intensify their operations to restore peace and bring the perpetrators of the unrest to justice.
