Police Probe Alleged Attack on Asantehene’s Convoy in Techiman

The Ghana Police Service is investigating an alleged attack on the convoy of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, which reportedly occurred in Techiman, Bono East Region.

According to initial accounts, the incident happened as the Asantehene was returning from a funeral in Nkoranza, with local youth allegedly throwing stones at buses in the convoy.

In a statement, the police pledged to uncover the facts and assured the public of their commitment to resolving the matter. The investigation involves collaboration with the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi and other key stakeholders in Techiman.
