Police Officer Drowns in River Offin During Anti-Galamsey Operation

A tragic incident occurred in Assin Asaman, where a police officer, Constable John Kwabena Dogbe, drowned in the River Offin during an anti-illegal mining (galamsey) operation led by the Central North Regional Police Command.

According to sources, Constable Dogbe accidentally fell into the river while on duty. His body was recovered after several hours of searching by the local police and rescue team.

Authorities have launched a full-scale investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
