Police Dismiss Allegations of Secret Recruitment at Kumasi Training School

The Ghana Police Service has refuted claims that a secret recruitment exercise is taking place at the Kumasi Police Training School in the Ashanti Region. In a statement posted on Facebook on Wednesday, the police clarified that they were conducting a special operation in Kumasi, which led to the arrest of 487 individuals linked to the QNET Ponzi scheme on Monday, September 2.

Due to the large number of suspects, the training school was used as a venue for screening and investigation. However, during the process, some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) gathered at the school, alleging that a covert recruitment was underway.

The police explained that once the NDC members realized the recruitment claims were false, they dispersed. The service urged the public to disregard such misinformation.
