Police Arrest Two Suspects for Businessman’s Robbery in Ashaiman

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery of a businessman in Ashaiman on February 26, 2025.

One of the suspects, Karim Fatao, was apprehended on the same day of the robbery, while his alleged accomplice, Wonder Babanawo—who had been on the police wanted list for multiple robberies in Ashaiman and Tema—was arrested on March 29, 2025.

A search of the suspects led to the discovery of a Ruger pistol loaded with fifteen rounds of ammunition, 30 mobile phone covers, six SIM cards, a Samsung tablet, three land indenture documents, and a quantity of dried plant material suspected to be Indian hemp.

Karim Fatao was arraigned before the court on March 3, 2025, and remanded into police custody. His accomplice, Wonder Babanawo, remains in custody and will soon face prosecution.

The Tema Regional Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to fighting crime and ensuring the safety of residents.
