
The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a viral video in which threats were made against a High Court judge, raising serious concerns about judicial security and online misconduct.
The suspect, identified as John Kwabena Owusu Ansah, was apprehended following investigations by the Police Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team. Authorities confirmed that he was arrested on March 27, 2026, at his hideout in Antoakrom in the Ashanti Region.
According to police, the widely circulated video contained threats, abusive language, and allegations accusing Patricia Quansah, a Justice of the High Court, of criminal conduct. The content sparked public concern over the safety of members of the judiciary and the potential impact on the integrity of the justice system.
