Police Arrest Suspect for Vandalizing Monument of the Big Six at Airport Roundabout

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has arrested Newwel Gavu, a man suspected of vandalizing a monument and several signposts at the Airport Roundabout in Accra.

The incident occurred in the early hours Saturday 31st August, 2024, around 3:50 AM, when Gavu was reportedly seen destroying the monument depicting the Big Six of Ghana.

The suspect is currently in police custody and will be processed according to the law, as stated in a brief release by the police on Saturday.

The police also commended the vigilance of the public and Airport security, which led to the arrest.
