Paul Pogba is set to stay at Manchester United this summer, according to The Athletic.
In the podcast, Talk of the Devils, both The Athletic correspondents Laurie Whitwell and Andy Mitten claimed Pogba will most likely stay at United, as no team can match the Red Devils’s £120m valuation.
The Athletic claims Pogba has a good relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and is the main man in the dressing room – players like Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard look up to him and on a personal level. The midfielder is very polite and professional, creating a good presence around Carrington.
Most importantly, United have no desire to sell Pogba, Solskjaer is still keen on building a team with the Frenchman, with the coronavirus pandemic only aiding United’s dealing with the situation, as there are no suitable buyers in the market for the player.
Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus were all reportedly keen on signing the 2018 World Cup winner, but fans can now put their minds to rest, for now.
