Patrick Yaw Boamah, the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been declared the winner of the Okaikwei Central parliamentary seat in the 2024 elections. This declaration follows a re-collation exercise held at the Greater Accra Regional Office of the Electoral Commission (EC).

The re-collation process overturned an earlier announcement that had declared Baba Sadiq of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the victor.

In the final tally, Patrick Boamah secured 21,099 votes, surpassing Baba Sadiq, who obtained 19,368 votes.
