An accident involving a truck loaded with cartons of Oba Spaghetti has led to significant traffic congestion on the Tema to Accra section of the Motorway near KICC.
The truck, registered in Burkina Faso, lost its load on the roadside, obstructing one of the two lanes.
Christian Atsu Tsikata, a reporter from Channel One TV, remarked, “It was unusual to encounter traffic as we approached KICC, as this area is typically clear around 5:10 am when we passed the scene.”
Mr. Tsikata further noted, “The traffic situation is likely to deteriorate throughout the day. Even if the truck is removed, the remaining cargo will need to be manually cleared, causing further delays for commuters.”
Additionally, early morning rainfall is expected to exacerbate the traffic issues, as has been the case during previous rains.
