Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Life Patron and Owner of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has scheduled an emergency meeting for Thursday, April 18, to address the club’s recent poor run of form.
The meeting will involve key stakeholders, including the playing body, the technical team, the interim management committee, and supporters’ leadership.
The decision comes after a group of supporters disrupted the team’s training session on Tuesday, April 16, at the Adako Jachie Training grounds, demanding the resignation of Coach Prosper Ogum and his technical staff.
The protest resulted in the training session being canceled.
The supporters’ actions reflect growing frustration with Kotoko’s performance, as the team has only won one of their last 10 games, drawing one and losing eight.
This recent slump is one of the worst in the club’s history, considering Kotoko has won the domestic league 24 times.
In response to the supporters’ demands for action, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has called for the meeting to address the issues affecting the club and to seek a united front in turning around the team’s fortunes.
