Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has announced a 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
The squad, led by captain Jordan Ayew, includes three home-based players:
- Benjamin Asare (Accra Hearts of Oak)
- Kamaradini Mamudu (Medeama SC)
- Razak Simpson (Nations FC)
Key Inclusions & Returns
- Thomas Partey (Arsenal) returns after missing four of Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers last year. The midfielder, with over 50 appearances, brings valuable experience.
- Kamal Deen Sulemana (Southampton FC) makes a comeback after recovering from an injury.
- Jerry Afriyie (CD Lugo) retains his spot after impressing in the match against Niger in November.
- Christopher Bonsu Baah (Genk) gets a call-up. The left-footed right-winger, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, started at Accra Shooting Stars before moving to Sarpsborg 08 in Norway and later Genk in July 2023.
