Organised Labour Strike: PSWU Instructs Members to Stay Off Work on October 10

The Public Service Workers’ Union (PSWU) of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) has instructed its members to begin a strike on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in response to the government’s failure to address issues related to illegal mining, commonly known as *galamsey*.

In a statement released on October 8, 2024, the PSWU highlighted that the decision aligns with a collective stance taken by Organised Labour. The union has formally notified management of the planned strike and urged them to respect the decision.
