One Injured as Fire Ravages Building in Cape Coast

A fire outbreak has destroyed four rooms on the top floor of a single-storey building at Ntsin, a suburb of Cape Coast, in the early hours of Tuesday, March 3.

The blaze, which reportedly began around 4 a.m., also caused partial damage to sections of the ground floor. Swift intervention by personnel from the Cape Coast Metropolitan Fire Station prevented the fire from completely consuming the building.

One person, identified as Auntie Ama, sustained injuries in the incident and was rushed to Ewim Hospital for treatment before firefighters arrived at the scene.

Additional support was provided by crews from the University of Cape Coast Fire Station and the Regional Headquarters to help bring the fire under control.

The Central Regional Commander of the , ACFOI Attigah-Mensah, confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause of the fire.

He further urged members of the public to observe fire safety measures and avoid practices that could trigger similar incidents.
