One Dead, Four Injured in Head-On Collision at Gomoa Assin

A tragic accident at Gomoa Assin on the Winneba-Mankessim highway has left one person feared dead and four others in critical condition following a head-on collision between a Toyota Land Cruiser (GR 2444-25) and a Toyota Sienna (AS 5863-19).

According to reports, the Toyota Sienna was traveling towards Accra, while the Toyota Land Cruiser was heading to Cape Coast when the crash occurred. Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, who responded to the scene, revealed that the accident was caused by a wrongful overtaking maneuver by the driver of the Toyota Sienna.

The driver of the Toyota Sienna died on the spot, while four occupants of the Toyota Land Cruiser sustained various injuries. They were rushed to St. Luke Catholic Hospital in Apam for treatment.
