OFFICIAL: Juventus Appoints Andrea Pirlo As New Coach
Juventus have officially appointed Andrea Pirlo as their new senior coach after sacking Maurizio Sarri, just a week after hiring him for the Under-23 squad.
The club confirmed ex-Chelsea boss Sarri’s exit on Saturday afternoon following their Champions League last 16 defeat to Lyon, despite the Italian guiding them to the Serie A title in his first season.
Meanwhile, Pirlo was appointed as Juventus U23 manager at the end of last month, marking his first role as a coach after hanging up his boots three years ago.
As a player, the Italy legend enjoyed a glittering four-year spell with Juventus in which he won four league titles and the Coppa Italia.
