The National Service Scheme (NSS) administration has announced the disbursement of government funds to settle arrears owed to recently completed service personnel. In an official statement released by NSS Executive Director Osei Assibey Antwi, it was confirmed that these payments encompass arrears accumulated from January 2023 to May 2023.
The press release highlighted that the pending arrears will be disbursed and made available to recipients by the close of Friday, December 8, 2023. However, it was clarified that arrears for June 2023 and allowances for October 2023 will be addressed subsequently.
NSS management expressed appreciation for the patience exhibited by service personnel amidst the delayed payment of their allowances. They assured all concerned individuals that comprehensive efforts are underway to ensure the prompt disbursement of outstanding allowances.
